 Players in Age Groups Gr. 4 - Post-High School Grad participate in the Essex County travel league.  Games are played against teams from other Essex County cities and towns, and four games of each regular season will be played in other cities or towns.  Travel players in Age Groups Gr. 4 to Gr. 8 are required to attend a Try-Out session each spring to determine their appropriate team placement.  Only players who participate in Try-Outs will be considered for teams placed in the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions eligible divisions. 
 
Uniforms: 

Salem Youth Soccer will provide a jersey, shorts, and socks to each player at the start of the fall season for their use. These jerseys will be used for both the Fall and Spring seasons. The jersey may be worn during in-season activities such as tournaments, SYS-approved fundraising, and SYS games. Lost or damaged jerseys can be replaced for a fee. Replacement jerseys can be ordered through our Online Store. 

Gr 4 and Gr 6 players use a size 4 soccer ball and Gr 8 players and older use a size 5 soccer ball. Each player must supply his or her own ball.
